A Documentary about the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary in Cornwall

Producer Alex Marsh says:

I suppose it could be described as an ambient documentry on the Wild Futures Monkey Sanctuary in Cornwall where I spent many years as a volunteer. It is mostly instrumental tunes throughout the show in the background, three of which I recorded myself using my tascam. It features interviews about all aspects of the sanctuary’s work, interactions with monkeys and sections of a public talk on the woolly monkeys.

It also has some memories from keepers about the times when I was there Including some memories from someone who volunteered there a couple of years ago. All of the the interviews, monkey sounds and public talk I recorded and edited myself both here in Totnes , the Monkey Sanctuary and on Seaton beach in Cornwall (about a mile from the Sanctuary).

Thank you to all those who contributed to “Sanctuary Tails”:

Antony Williams (Monkey keeper)

Brian Milton (Monkey keeper)

Tjark Plat (Sanctuary maintenance)

Rachel Hevesi (Monkey keeper)

Claire Turnbull (Monkey keeper)

Brooke Aldrich (Monkey keeper)

Hayley Oliver (Volunteer coordinater)

Carmen Callejo (Intern)

Beth Thomas (Ex volunteer)

All the monkeys (Woolly monkeys, Capachin monkeys and the Barbary macaques)
